Here you will find all necessary information regarding the needed paperwork for getting married in Turkey.

The only legal documents you are required to show at the British Embassy are :

1. Passport of Bride & Groom
(with a minimum of 6 months expiry).

2. Full birth certificates of the bride & groom.
Both parties are obliged to provide full Birth Certificate.

3. Certificate of no impediment to marriage of the bride & groom.
This document confirms that you have not been married and that you are free to married. This document can be issued in your local Registrar's office and it mustn't be issued more then three months before your wedding.

4. Divorce certificate if any.
In the case that one or both sides has been divorced, you are obligated to obtain this Certificate.

You should plan to arrive in Turkey at least 3 working days prior to your wedding day as you both will be required to be taken to the British Consulate in Antalya, where your certificate of No Impediment will be translated. This allows you to marry legally in Turkey and for your marriage to be legal in the UK .
